Quick Meals: Homemade Ramen Recipe

You could never go wrong with Ramen but you can go wrong with Ramen prices. This popular soup is comfort food for sure, but at times if you’re on a budget it’s not the most affordable. So, Naturally Culturred is sharing its very own, vegetarian style Ramen with you! This recipe can be made right in the comfort of your home and each ingredient can be found at your local grocery store.

What’s even better? It takes about 30-35 minutes tops to cook (it doesn’t get any better than that)! Take a look at the below recipe and be sure to leave a comment with your thoughts/ experience when you try it.

RAMEN RECIPE

  • 1 Pack of Ocean Halo’s Organic Noodles 2 Cups of Chicken Broth or Chicken Stock (keep in mind most chicken broths have sodium in them so be cautious when seasoning). 
  • 1 Cup of Green Onions (Chopped) 
  • 1 Egg
  • Sliced Portabello Mushrooms (Slice about 6-10 of them) 
  • 1/2 cup of Zucchini(sliced)
  • 2 Cloves of Garlic (crushed)
  • Grape Seed oil (used to stir fry the ingredients. You can eyeball the amount needed per your pan size)
  • Fresh Parsley Leaves to flavor Chicken Broth (no measurement used you can eyeball the amount per amount of broth being used). 

DIRECTIONS

  1. Bring Chicken Broth to a Simmer and add the crushed garlic into the broth for flavor. Add a few parsley leafs in there (let simmer for 10-15 minutes)
  2. Stir fry green/ red oions + zucchini with butter and a little grapeseed oil until they are crispy (season per your preference)
  3. Add Ramen noodles to Chicken Broth (let them soften about 3-5 minutes (or until they start to separate), Add onions (green / red and zucchini to broth and stir with noodles
  4. Fry your egg (hard) 
  5. Top off noodles with mushrooms and fried egg
  6. Bon a petite!
